Board Member Duties
- Be a member in good standing of the Dane County Historical Society
- Advocate for and promote the Society and the Otto Schroeder Records Center
- Guide the Society by mission, vision, policies and objectives
- Safeguard and manage the Society’s resources effectively
- Become familiar with the Society’s Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation
- Make a commitment to attend monthly board meetings (Third Monday of each month / 5:00pm / Lussier Family Heritage Center)
- Make an effort to attend and represent the Board of Directors at the Annual Membership Meeting, and at other programs or events
- Serve on one or more standing committees
- Contribute ideas, articles or content for the DCHS quarterly newsletter and/or the DCHS web site
